More food needed!
The Garden Pantry at Nimmo UMC currently has empty shelves after helping over 100 families last week. They need basics such as peanut butter, jelly, pasta, spaghetti sauce, canned tuna and chicken,
canned beans, any canned vegetables, rice, boxes of mashed potatoes, soup and cereal. For this holiday season they also would like pie crust mix, chicken broth or gravy, stuffing mix and fried onions.
There will be plastic tubs in the library for the collection of these items which we will deliver before their distribution on the 23rd .
PiN Winter Shelter Update
There is a chance that Tabernacle will have the opportunity to provide housing for some of the homeless that PiN serves for a week next March. Before we can commit to doing this we need to know if we have volunteers who would spend a night during that week here at the church to help the PiN staff people who would be in charge. We will also need drivers to transport the people who would be housed here.
Please contact Mary Hall (757-721-7001 or email@example.com) if you would be able to serve in either of these ways.
More help needed!
Maureen Mitchell needs helpers on Friday the 19th at 1:00 to help assemble bags of food for Saturday’s (the 20th) distribution (We now have 71 bags to fill).
Jody Flade needs people to deliver Thanksgiving food bags after church on the 21st . Please let them know if you are willing and able to help with either of those missions.
TUMC is Giving Thanks to Our Community

We need our church family to help with the food. If you can donate cranberry sauce, gravy, corn, green beans, apple sauce, macaroni and cheese and stuffing we would greatly appreciate it. There is a box in the parlor to drop off your food. We will also accept monetary donations if you would prefer.
